About Sunyatta
Sharon and Shelly met in Orlando where they co-led the house band on the Grand Romance Riverships on the St. John's River for 11 years. They chose the "Sunyatta" name with the release of their all original "soulful new age" CD, Secret Love. Notable Orlando venues played include Universal Studio's City Jazz, Downtown Disney's House of Blues and the Epcot Center, among numerous other venues.
They moved to the American West in 2006 where they recorded their original "Bliss" EP. They've performed on the Regent Seven Seas 6 star cruiseline's Mariner from the Caribbean to Alaska and at top resorts, clubs and festivals in Arizona and Colorado. Sunyatta is now based in Denver, where they write, record and perform music. Sharon and Shelly are the music directors of Unity of Littleton.

Shelly Davis is a jazz and blues pianist, keyboard artist, composer and singer. Audiences adore him for his energetic stage presence and passionate piano solos. He grew up in New York, where he studied with Jimmy Giuffre and won a Downbeat scholarship for his improvisational music. As an original member of the million selling recording act, the "Brooklyn Bridge", he recorded a gold record, 4 albums and appeared on numerous TV shows and concert engagements. (Ed Sullivan, Merv Griffin, Jonathan Winters, Mike Douglas, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden). Shelly performed for several years in Aspen, Boulder and Kansas City with his jazz and original groups, sharing the stage with artists that included Mose Alison, Roy Orbison and Bonnie Raitt. He conceived and produced the Boulder Jazz Showcase presenting jazz and poetry in the parks. In Florida, he has appeared at Walt Disney World as "Dr. Digital" (a one-man midi show) and as a jazz soloist. He was music director at the Unity church playing for meditation as well as leading a jazz concert series. In whatever situation you hear Shelly play, you will hear the love he has for the music and the creative energy he shares that is at the heart of the jazz tradition. In 2006, Shelly was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

Sharon Rae is a jazzy blues singer, entertainer and writer. Sharon was originally influenced by jazz singers like Sarah Vaughan, Joe Williams, Etta James and more. Focused on music from a young age, Sharon developed her style growing up in places like Detroit, Atlanta, Miami and Orlando. By the time she started singing professionally, she had acquired an impressive repertoire that she utilized in bands who performed everything from funk, folk, blues, rock, soul and jazz. She worked through her tumultous teenage years and her 20's singing, dancing and entertaining in show groups, dance bands and parties in Florida and throughout the states and the islands. In the late 80's, Sharon returned to her jazz and soul roots, focusing more on mainstream jazz and blues that she grew up on. Sharon met Shelly at 100 W. Washington, a jazz club in Orlando. That started their long, eclectic career together performing for lovely audiences everywhere. Sharon lovingly calls Colorado her very special home.
